Tite Kubo’s highly acclaimed shounen manga, Bleach gets a live-action adaptation that got recently teased by Warner Bros. Japan. Though the footage is only 30 seconds long, it features Ichigo’s first contact with hollows and the moment he becomes a Shinigami. Also, we can even see Rukia for a couple of brief seconds.
Bleach ran for 15 years before it ended in 2016 and is still one of the most popular shounen manga. Also, the anime was responsible for introducing many fans to the genre. The protagonist of the story, Ichigo Kurosaki is an average teenager, with an extraordinary ability. He can see ghosts, and after his family gets attacked by them, he decides to fight these evil spirits by becoming a soul reaper aka. Shinigami.
So far we could only see stills from the upcoming live-action and those were already promising, but fans got hyped over this new footage both on Twitter and Reddit. Even the CGI animation of Fishbone D (the first hollow Ichigo takes down) looks excellent that is usually the weak point of live action adaptations.
