The hype around My Hero Academia’s upcoming third season peaks, as Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced four new League of Villains characters on the 12th of March.
Apart from Weekly Shounen Jump’s announcement, MHA’s official website has also revealed the character designs of these four new villains and the ending theme song titled as “Update” by Miwa (it got announced earlier that UVERworld will perform the opening theme song, titled ODD FUTURE). We hope this does not mean this is the last update before the launch that approaches fast and is scheduled to the 7th of April. The staff of the previous two seasons reprises their role for the latest arc, and Studio Bones handle the production.
And now without further ado, let’s take a look at the new characters:
Daichi Endou as Twice (Quirk: Double)
Tsuguo Mogami as Mr. Compress (Quirk: Compress)
Ryou Iwasaki as Spinner (Quirk: unknown)
Satoru Inoue as Magne (Quirk: Magnetism)
Though the first semester has ended and for most students that means the well-earned summer break, Class 1-A goes on to a training camp instead to go through rigorous training under the supervision of the hero team called Pussycats. And while their training is already stretching the youngster’s limits, evil does not sleep as well, and soon they find themselves fighting for survival instead of success.
Kōhei Horikoshi’s My Hero Academia manga began serialization in the Weekly Shōnen Jump manga magazine in July 2014. The manga is considered highly popular not just in its home country but overseas as well, as the Viz Media licensed English version well-received by the North American audience. The first season of 13 episodes of the anime adaptation got released on the 3rd of April in 2016, followed by the second season of 25 episodes a year after.
