An announcement was made at the Fantasia Bunko Festival 2017 event last year, that Seiji Ebisu’s light novel ‘Ore ga Suki nano wa Imouto dakedo Imouto Ja Nai’ (The One I Love is My Little Sister But She’s Not a Little Sister) will get an anime adaptation.

Kadokawa’s Fantasia Bunko light novel imprint then announced on their official Twitter account that ‘Ebisu’s Ore ga Suki nano wa Imōto dakedo Imōto Ja Nai’ will be adapted as an anime and unveiled a commercial video for the light novel series. However, further details such as release date, the staffs, and casts for the anime is yet to be announced.

Plot summary:

Suzuka Nagami attends a junior high school, and she’s the president of the student council. Not just being an exemplary student with top grades, Suzuka is also a light novel author. Success falls into her laps when her latest work on her older brother wins an award. However, the subject of her novel, Yū Nagami finds her scripts and decides to debut as the author instead, under the pen name Chikai Towano.

Seiji Ebisu’s ‘Ore ga Suki nano wa Imōto dakedo Imōto Ja Nai’ (The One I Love is My Little Sister But She’s Not a Little Sister) light novel series got published in four volumes since 2016. It is illustrated by Gintarō and runs in Fujimi Shobo’s Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint.
