‘Back to the Future’ Manga from ‘One Punch Man’ Writer Gets Released in April

One Punch Man's and Eyeshield 21's writer, Yuusuke Murata has never been shy about his love for the cult 90s movie, Back to the Future. He is such a fan of the trilogy that he is in the works of creating a manga adaptation of Back to the Future titled 'BTTF'.

Yuusuke Murata's manga will closely follow the plot of the original movies, but his personal touch of content will also find its way into the story that will be supervised by no other than the movie’s screenwriter, Bob Gale. According to Murata, his most challenging task will be to draw Michael J. Fox as Marty McFly, and he will do his best to satisfy fans as much as possible.

The original, highly-acclaimed Back to the Future movie was directed by Robert Zemeckis in 1985 and got turned into a trilogy. The 90s blockbuster follows the story of Marty McFly, a laidback high school student from Hill Valley. When he interrupts an experiment done by Emmett Brown the small town's self-appointed scientist, Marty gets transported back in time to 1955. During his travel, time itself gets damaged and McFly has to work his way to restore the past he messes with to get back to the future.

While Murata is still working on his manga adaptation, the news got confirmed that BTTF will be serialized on the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! website along with physical volumes released on the 20th of April, 2018.

Well, we can't deny we are in love with the project, and we can already imagine Murata's style seeping into the cult movie's visual aesthetics, and materialized as a manga. What are your thoughts on the news? Will you get BTTF? Let us know in the comments below!
